From the spied images, one thing is clear that the speculations or guesswork done with respect to all the previous spy images found on the Internet is somewhat correct. As it was predicted that the Mahindra XUV500 Facelift front would have most of the changes, restricted to the cosmetic ones, the recent images prove it right.

The new changes along the front fascia comes in the form of the newly designed projector lamps, S-shape looking LED daytime running lights along with chrome enclosed fog lights. Only change one can notice along the side of the SUV is that of the newly designed alloy wheels. Along the rear, one can notice the new looking LED lit spoiler mounted with stoplight as well as the revised rear number plate. Inside the cabin, the most prominent change comes in the form of new designed center console with the cowl placed above the infotainment system to prevent the screen from reflection.

Other than this, to make the cabin look premium class, Mahindra XUV500 facelift offered with the plum colored upholstery and plastic inserts. Without any change on its mechanism, the company will power the Mahindra XUV500 facelift with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is expected that 6-speed automatic gearbox might also come as an option upon its launch.

As there are minute cosmetic changes, it is expected that the company won’t create too much difference in the price to what it was and what is expected to be. It is likely that the price tag will range somewhere between INR 11-15 lakhs. After the production model was spied, we can expect the SUV to roll off the red carpet very soon to go heads on with Renault Duster, , Skoda Yeti and Tata Safari Storme. Lets see if Mahindra launches its most demanding SUV next month or it pushes the launch towards the end of the year around the festive season to grab good sales number.
