Thruxton R’s Track Racer Inspiration kit offers a retro-racer stance; it includes LED turn indicators and leather fuel tank strip

Triumph has introduced the Track Racer Inspiration kit to its Thruxton R bike. The enthusiasts can add this kit at an expense of Rs. 81,357 and it offers a retro-race bike stance to the model. While in India, this kit is available as an option, it comes as standard fitment in UK at a cost that converts to around Rs. 1.6 lakh.

The Track Racer Inspiration Kit for Triumph Thruxton R comes with several elements that turn the bike into a very appealing looking machine. The kit includes LED turn indicators, white handlebar grips, leather strip on fuel tank and stainless steel Vance and Hines exhaust along with fender removal kit. The India-spec Track Racer Inspiration kit comes with tinted fly screen, tank side grips and grey handlebar grips.

In UK, the kit will be available with every Triumph Thruxton R, but it will be available there only till the end of 2017. Speaking about the Thruxton R, the bike is based on the standard Thruxton from the British marquee. But, the Thruxton R is more performance focused compared to its regular sibling.

Power source for the retro styled bike is a 1,200 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine is capable of churning out 96 bhp of peak power at 6,750 rpm and 112 Nm of peak torque at 4,950 rpm.

For braking duty, this bike relies on 310 mm front disc brake and 220 mm rear disc brake. It runs on 17-inch multi-spoke wheels wrapped with Pirelli Diablo tyres. Suspension duty is done by 43 mm Showa USD front forks and fully adjustable Ohlins twin-shock absorbers at the back. In India, Triumph Thruxton R is priced at Rs. 11.16 lakh. The bike was launched here in June last year after being displayed at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo.
