The waiting period for passenger cars in March 2023 stands up to 18 months and here we bring you the top ten list

In the month of March 2023, Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Innova Hycross has the highest waiting period of up to 18 months for select variants. The new generation Innova made its market debut only a few months ago and it has been well-received by customers. It is based on a brand new TNGA-C platform and boasts evolutionary exterior updates.

The interior is brand new with a more advanced features list comprising technologies like ADAS. It is powered by a new 2.0L four-cylinder NA petrol and a 2.0L strong hybrid petrol engine with a claimed fuel economy of just over 21 kmpl. The Mahindra Thar currently has a waiting period of up to 17 months in India.

The three-door Thar saw its range expand a few weeks ago courtesy of the arrival of the RWD variant. The second-generation off-road SUV made its local debut in 2020 and it has always had high demand. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has a waiting period of up to 15 months in India and is available in mild hybrid, strong hybrid and CNG iterations.

The Mahindra Scorpio range also has a waiting period of up to 15 months for select variants. Its bigger sibling, the XUV700 has a waiting of up to 11 months. The waiting period for the monocoque SUV reduced big time in recent months.

Customers wanting to own a Kia Carens will have to wait up to 11 months while the Maruti Suzuki Brezza compact SUV has it at up to 10 months. The Kia Sonet commands a waiting period of up to 9 months and its CNG version is expected to launch in the coming months.

The Hyundai Creta, the best-selling midsize SUV in India, has a waiting period of up to 8 months while the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has it up to 6 months.
