Nissan GT-R pre-booking deposit is a whopping Rs. 25 lakh if you want to tame the Godzilla

Nissan Motor India announced the commencing of pre-booking for the 2017 Nissan GT-R sportscar for the Indian market. Customers wanting pre-order the new Nissan GT-R, whose Nismo version was recently launched in Japan, via Rs 25 lakh deposit. Nissan launched the facelifted GT-R at the 2016 New York International Auto Show in March.

With substantial upgrade since making debut in 2007, the new GT-R will be hitting Indian roads in the final parts of this year. Nicknamed Godzilla, the GT-R is the most track-focussed and hardcore production car the Japanese manufacturer has ever made. The flagship sportscar is G force obsessed and has tamed some of the toughest race tracks in the world including the Nurburgring.

Unlike many rivalling sports cars, the GT-R is practical and is known for launching off the line as good as some dedicated hyper cars. The downforce levels of the GT-R have been lauded by auto journalists and enthusiasts around the world and is gracing India following the launch of Ford’s Mustang which has been well-received in the market.

There updates associated with the 2017MY GT-R are revised mesh pattern for the dark-chrome signature V motion grille, reinforcements hood, redesigned canards and carbonfibre front bumper while the new hood generates more downforce and improve aerodynamic efficiency besides reinforcing safety.

As for the interiors, the enlarged eight-inch touchscreen infotainment has been updated for further convenience with less number of dials seen on the dashboard unlike previous versions. It features new Display Command Control located on the carbonfibre made center console.

It has multi-spoke sporty steering wheel with mounted controls, restyled dashboard layout alongside centre armrest, flappy paddle shifters, leather-covered Recaro carbonfibre bucket seats with Alcantara touches and wrapped steering wheel finished in Alcantara. The 2017 Nissan GT-R will come with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 puts out 552 bhp at 6,800 rpm and 635 Nm of torque and can do 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds.
