The front end of the modified Renault Kwid gets new LED DRLs with HID headlamps and LED angle eyes along with LED fog lamps to give a meaner look
Renault introduced Kwid couple of years ago and the company has officially given lots of customizing options for the customers from the dealership itself. We have see some crazy modification on Kwid and today we have a simple modification for Kwid done by Madurai based automotive part store Auto XScuplt. In our earlier article, we have seen how cool they have integrated S-Cross inspired grille on new Dzire. The changes given for Kwid are not radical but it does make the Kwid more like Duster and Captur.
The front gets new LED DRLs with HID headlamps and LED angle eyes along with LED fog lamps to give a meaner look. The Kwid also gets tow hook and metallic scuff plates also. The automotive store has also done roof wrapping along with painted mirrors and door handles which are finished in black colour. Auto XScuplt has given new 5 spoke alloy wheels which look really good.

The rear gets a LED strip on the hatch door to warn drivers coming from behind along with a new spoiler and faux exhaust mufflers. The overall modifications have given a meaner look for the Kwid. Auto XScuplt hasn’t given any mechanical changes for Kwid. Renault Kwid is the first entry level hatchback of the French manufacturer and the company is steadily clocking more than 7000 units of Kwid each month.
The design is one of the major reasons for the success of Kwid. Even though dimensions of Kwid are small, the design gives it a SUV appearance. The interior of Kwid is also much better than rivals and come with segment first 7 inch touch screen infotainment system which is unique. The Kwid offers good space for four passengers and their luggage.

The French manufacturer offers two engine options with Kwid. The entry level 800 cc engine produces 53 hp of power and 72 Nm of torque. The powerful 1.0 L engine produces 67 hp of power and 91 Nm of torque. These engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearbox and AMT is available with 1.0 L engine. Renault Kwid competes against Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Datsun Redi-Go and Hyundai Eon.
