Karlmann King World's Most Expensive SUV In The World

Karlmann King has an ultra-exclusive interior with a number of luxurious elements; uses a 6.8-litre V10 engine from Ford F-550

When the Rolls-Royce Cullinan comes out, it will undoubtedly become the world’s most luxurious SUV in serial production but there is an unheard name that currently carries the pride and it is mostly because they are not that popular yet.

The Karlmann King has been designed by a Chinese outfit called IAT and is said to offer a luxury experience never witnessed before. All the exclusivity this author is going to explain comes at quite a huge cost as even the base version is priced at around $2.2 million (Rs. 14.28 crore).

Adding customisation options, which even includes armoured bodywork, the buyer would have to shell out as much as $3.8 million (Rs. 24.66 Crore). The biggest question is, does it worth all the money, as after all it is made by an unknown Chinese company?

It is a massive SUV! Right from seeing the pictures, you will be convinced. It is based on the Ford F-550 and gets powered by a 6.8-litre V10 engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 400 horsepower.

Despite all that power output and the looks of a stealth fighter, the Karlmann King can do a maximum speed of just 140 kmph. Making the 400 horsepower irrelevant is the fact that the luxury machine measures 2.5 m wide and weighs in about six tonnes making the top speed very limited.

The interior is where the Karlmann King really shines. It features retractable widescreen Television set, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, ambient lighting, electrically operated tables and much more. The plush interior stands out above its massive appearance and underlines the exclusivity. Customers can opt for a six-seater version as well with six doors. However, they have to hurry, as IAT will only create twelve examples of the Karlmann King.
