Skoda Kodiaq spied testing post global debut; it will start selling in early 2017 in international markets as India launch eagerly awaited

Czech auto manufacturer Skoda has already unveiled the Kodiaq SUV officially in Berlin only days back. The car has been spied testing on road once again after the global premiere. Skoda’s all new Kodiaq SUV looks absolutely sharp and muscular with its Bohemian crystal inspired design. The Czech car maker has already confirmed that it will start selling the Kodiaq SUV sometime in early 2017.

The Skoda Kodiaq comes built following the Vision S Concept and on the Volkswagen MQB platform, and it bears a sharp design, which is also expected to be seen in the future Skoda cars as well. The car sports sharp headlamps, a Skoda signature radiator grille with vertical slats and chrome finishing. The front bumper looks beefy and muscular with a wide air intake and unusual shaped fog lamps sitting just below the headlamp clusters.

Apart from these, the side profile comes bearing the same muscular appearance, while the rear profile features wide and sleek taillights, roof spoiler with high mounted brake light and beefy bumper as well. Dimensionally, the Skoda Kodiaq measures 4,697 in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,676 mm in height, and it also comes with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm.

The interior resembles with the all new Skoda Superb, but it also has distinctive features. The cabin of Kodiaq offers a very comfortable and premium experience with loads of room. The interior features multifunction steering wheel, sleek instrument cluster with analog and digital combo display, and a stylish centre console with a touchscreen infotainment system. The Skoda Kodiaq comes featuring both 5 seater and 7 seater layouts.

On the powertrain front the Skoda Kodiaq gets a range of TSI petrol engines and TDI diesel engines. The petrol engines include 1.4 litre TSI, 1.4 litre ACT TSI and 2.0 litre TSI engines which deliver power outputs of 125 PS, 150 PS and 180 PS, while the torque outputs are 200 Nm, 250 Nm and 320 Nm respectively. The diesel engines include two 2.0 litre TDI engines generating 150 PS and 190 PS of peak powers, while the torque outputs are 340 Nm and 400 Nm respectively.
