Skoda Kodiaq Interior Revealed Ahead of Global Debut

Skoda Kodiaq interior revealed leading up to its world premiere scheduled on 1st September 2016 in Berlin

Skoda Kodiaq has been making headlines for quite some time now, and the car is all set for its global premiere on 1st September, 2016 in Berlin. Ahead of that, the Czech auto manufacturer has released a video revealing the interior of the upcoming car. This gives us the overview of the interior of the car, which is about to launch in Indian market sometime in 2017.

The Skoda Kodiaq’s interior sport loads of similarities with the new Skoda Superb, but with distinctiveness. The multifunction steering wheel is complemented by the sleek instrument cluster which comprises both the analog digital combo displays. The centre console looks different from the Skoda Superb, with vertically positioned HVAC vents. The touchscreen infotainment system also looks different than Superb, and the dashboard features an all black appearance, which is seen in the entire cabin as well.

The door panels come featuring blue strips and the cabin also sports chrome trims at various places. The Kodiaq is going to be the flagship SUV from the Czech auto manufacturer, once it gets launched. The car measures 4,700 mm in length and 1,880 mm in width, and with this it offers plenty of space to offer the customers a spacious and comfortable experience.

Skoda already claimed, the car will come offering individual infotainment system for every occupant, and it will be available in 5 seater and 7 seater versions. The 720 litres of luggage space is something which offers loads of room for luggage, and it can also be expanded up to enormous 2,065 litres by folding the rear seats. On the safety front the car will feature door edge protection, electric child safety etc.

The Skoda Kodiaq comes built on the Volkswagen’s MQB platform. On the powertrain front the car gets three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel engine options. Transmission options will include six speed manual gearbox and a DSG dual clutch gearbox.
