The flagship 2019 Audi Q8 will debut in June ahead of being displayed at the Shanghai Auto Show the following month
Audi is getting all pumped to introduce the brand new Q8 SUV in the global scenes very soon. In the build-up to the launch event, the German manufacturer will be unveiling a series of videos endorsing the flagship Q model. The first episode will go online coming 21st and Audi has released a short teaser.
The teaser doesn’t give away any details of the upcoming model but the core theme of the video is the main characters chasing down leads on a kidnap story with the Q8. Along with the teaser comes a design sketch explaining some of the exterior nuances we have seen testing for several months on foreign roads.

On the outside, Audi has grafted the crossover with sloping roofline sturdy character lines sweeping upwards, heavily raked out D-pillar, tailgate integrated spoiler, sleek tail lights connected by a thin strip, aggressive rear bumper, sporty dual exhaust system, masculine fenders, etc.
The interior will comprise of advanced technologies like large touchscreen infotainment system, display enabling climate control and other features, leather upholstery, unique air vents, metallic accents, driver-focussed cockpit and loads of in-car connectivity options among others.

As for the powertrain, the upcoming Audi Q8 is expected to get a number of conventional IC engine options as well as hybrid units. The list will include a 252 horsepower producing 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, a 355 hp developing 3.0-litre V6 as well as a plug-in hybrid variant with electric motor and Li-ion battery connected to a 3.0-litre turbo V6.
The latter should be able to pump out 443 horsepower with a standalone electric range of around 60 km. Down the line, Audi will introduce the performance-spec S Q8 and RS Q8 with 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine churning as much as 530 horsepower.
