12Toyota Vitara Brezza:
Maruti Suzuki and Toyota announced a partnership last month in which the manufacturers are sharing models to fill gap in the portfolio and it is effective considering that huge development cost is saved. Maruti will share its popular Vitara Brezza and Baleno to Toyota and they are sharing Corolla to Maruti.
But both manufacturers will make some design changes to make them stand apart from each other. Toyota Vitara Brezza get the revised front grill with new headlamps and bumper. The side remains to be same except for new alloy wheel design. The rear also gets some changes like new tail lamp and bumper. The interior is going to be shared with Maruti’s version except for the logo.

We hope Toyota will continue to use Maruti’s smart play infotainment system as it is much better compared to Toyota’s unit and this support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also. The features will be shared for both models which include climate control, steering mounted controls, cruise control, automatic headlamp with the projector, rain sensing wipers, DRLs and more. Toyota Vitara Brezza will share mechanical parts from Maruti like engine, gearbox and suspension.
The Vitara Brezza is powered by 1.3 L DDiS engine producing 89 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 200 nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti is planning to introduce boosterjet petrol engine soon and we hope Toyota will also use this engine in India.
