13New Renault Duster:
Renault officially revealed the second generation of Duster last year. The body profile of Duster continues to be the same as customers don’t want the design to be changed according to the feedback they received from potential customers. The front gets new grill along with the new headlamp design and the new bumper.
The side design is similar to the old model. The rear gets new tail lamp along with updated tailgate design and the new bumper. The interior of Duster is completely new and different from the outgoing model. The new four-spoke steering wheel along with newly designed instrument cluster is much better than the current model.

The centre console get 7-inch touch screen infotainment system and climate controls are placed below them. The quality of the materials used for the dashboard has been improved compared to the previous model. The design of AC vents is circular and the new Duster is bigger than the outgoing model which increases interior space for passengers.
In India, Renault will continue to offer same 1.5 L diesel engine producing 85 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque along with 110 PS and 248 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is a new 1.5 L H4K unit producing 106 PS of power and 142 NM of torque.

The diesel engine is mated to the 6-speed manual and petrol engine to 5-speed manual gearbox. We can expect Renault to introduce manual transmission also. The current generation Duster comes with four-wheel drive system and they will continue to offer it in the new model also as most compact SUVs doesn’t have four-wheel drive option and Duster is the only model to offer this. The new Duster is expected to be launched later this year and it will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
