Jeep Renegade is the entry-level model of American manufacturer and the model was spotted testing in India for sometime now. But the company was waiting for the introduction of the mid-life facelift as it doesn’t make sense to launch an old model. The Renegade facelift was revealed earlier this month with subtle changes.
Jeep hasn’t played with the design of Renegade much as design is one of its USP. The front gets new bumper along with new fog lamps and O-ring LEDs for headlamps. The grille is pronounced than the previous iteration and depending on variants, the design could change as top end models come with a chrome finish for a premium look.

The side design continues to be the same except for new alloy wheels. At the rear, Jeep has given new bumper and tail lamp is new with X design which makes it look really good. The interior of Renegade is exactly similar to the previous model except for some new features which do make the cabin feel premium.
The Renegade gets three spoke multi-function steering wheel is similar to the one in Compass. The instrument cluster is very well laid out with tachometer and speedometer along with 3.5-inch screen in the middle which displays all the information for the driver. The centre console gets UConnect touchscreen infotainment system and the size might be 6 or 7 inches.

Jeep will load the Renegade with lots of features like leather seats, keyless entry, push-button start, projector headlamps, alloy wheels, reverse camera, climate control, cruise control and more. Jeep Renegade will be powered by two engine options. The diesel engine is 2.0 L Multijet producing 120 hp and the petrol engine is 1.4 L MultiAir producing 100-110 hp. These engines will be mated to 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Jeep will launch Renegade next year in India.
