Volvo XC90 Driven on Glass Bridge to Prove Bridge Safety: Video

The Volvo XC90 Driven on Glass Bridge was fully loaded with 11 occupants

A Volvo XC90 has been used in China to check the safety of a glass bridge. The Zhanggjiajie Grand Canyon Bridge is the longest and highest transparent glass bridge in the world. The 300 meters high suspended bridge over Zhangjiajie National Park in central Hunan province is opening in July, 2016. A 2962 kg Volvo XC90 was driven over the bridge to prove that the glass is safe for the tourists.

Earlier there was a similar bridge in the same province, but due to a crack on the glass of that bridge it got closed. The incident was keeping the tourists away from the new bridge which is about to open. The manufactures tried to prove the safety of the glass in a different way.

A group of volunteers and staffs were gathered to test the bridge by hitting the glass with sledgehammer and driving the luxury SUV over it. Apart from a few piece of broken glass, the bridge was intact. The manufactures claim this bridge can withstand a weight of 800 people at once.

The premium luxury car comes with a muscular butch looking appearance, blended with suave elegance.
