The particular dual-tone painted Volkswagen Polo gets black plastic cladding at side and rear; runs on sporty black alloy wheels
A test mule of the Volkswagen Polo has been spied testing on roads of Pune without any camouflage. The special thing about the particular model is that this Polo hatchback wears a sporty Red and Black dual-tone exterior paint scheme. Also, the car features black plastic cladding at the side sills and rear bumper as well. Apart from that, it runs on sporty black alloy wheels.
The particular Volkswagen Polo with dual-tone paint scheme appears very much similar to the Polo GT Sport limited edition model that was launched in the country on 25th April this year. But the plastic cladding makes it pretty distinctive compared the Volkswagen Polo GT Sport. Also, it appears with a modified suspension set up as well.

There is no word from the German auto manufacturer itself, but speculations are that the company is testing updated engine. A test mule f the Volkswagen Polo with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine under the hood was spied testing earlier this year. However, the company tight lipped about the launch of this new engine powered model.
Currently, the Volkswagen Polo comes with engines options of a 1.2-litre MPI petrol unit and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel motor. The Polo GT TSI gets energy from a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG automatic unit as well.

Just a few weeks ago, Volkswagen unveiled the sixth generation Polo hatchback and its iterations in Berlin. The car is expected to be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. Expect the new generation Polo hatchback to arrive here sometime next year. Upon arrival, the new Polo is expected to increase the competition against its rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20. Meanwhile, the automaker has introduced the new top-end trim Highline Plus to the hatchback.
