TVS Apache RTR 310 Pre Bookings Open, New Teaser Unravels Design

TVS Apache RTR 310 Pre-Bookings Open

TVS Apache RTR 310 will be equipped with a 312.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled reverse including four-valve DOHC engine producing 34 PS and 27 Nm

TVS Motor Company has released a just over a minute-long teaser video for the long-awaited flagship naked motorcycle that could be dubbed the Apache RTR 310 (Apache RTX name has also been trademarked). The brand has confirmed that the pre-bookings for the streetfighter have commenced ahead of its official market launch on September 6, 2023.

The teaser video shows the unhinged motorcycle ripping through the streets and upon close observations, we can tell you that it has an uncompromised styling. It readily belongs on the streets and appears to be tailor-made for having some around the corners and popping wheelies, and we really cannot wait to get our hands on it.

The razor-sharp styling cues and the exposed trellis frame complement the street credentials and it looks like the design engineers have had a wild night out as it seems like an amalgamation of all the custom bits and pieces you would install to show off in front of the crowd on your new motorcycle, except that it is in its stock form.

The uncanny design, a short wheelbase, a muscular fuel tank and aggressive rearward set footpegs indicate that it will be highly composed around corners. The sleek dual LED headlamp unit is accompanied by a literally jaw-dropping face, an extremely compact rear end with twin vertical LED tail lamps and a side-mounted exhaust system with a large opening in the end.

Other highlights will include split grab rails and split seats, a short front fender, minimalistic body panels, and a prominent engine sump guard. We already know that the TVS Apache RTR 310 will have a lot in common with its faired sibling, the Apache RR 310 and it will use the familiar 312.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled reverse including four-valve DOHC engine, paired with a six-speed transmission.

The powertrain can also be found in the BMW G310 R, BMW G310 GS, BMW G310 RR and TVS Apache RR310. The Hosur-based brand could have made gearing changes and the motorcycle will more likely feature a TFT instrument cluster with ride modes, golden-coloured USD front forks (KYB sourced most likely), a die-cast aluminium swingarm and a bolt-on subframe, and offset monoshock rear suspension.

The TVS Apache RTR 310 is expected to get a fully adjustable suspension setup at the front (adjustable for compression and rebound), adjustable clutch and brake levers, slipper and assist clutch, turn-by-turn navigation, connectivity options, a wide single-piece handlebar, new switchgear, etc.
