Toyota Kirloskar Motor wins top exporter in India award for the sixth straight year at national level; exports cars to several continents
Toyota Kirloskar Motor bags the Top Exporter Award for the year 2014-2015, at the 47th Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) National Award for Engineering Export Excellence. The company has received the award for its exemplary export performance as merchant exporter.
The Japanese automaker has been recognized as the top exporter in the country consecutively for 6 years at national level. Also, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has bagged the Export Excellence Award by EEPC for 10 years at the Southern regional level.

The company has its world-class manufacturing facility at Bidai in Bangalore. It exports Completely Built Unit (CBU) like the Etios Platinum sedan and Etios Liva hatchback. Also, the company exports automobile parts to several countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Argentina and South Africa. In domestic market too, the company has strong presence in several segments.
Speaking about the achievement, TKM’s Senior Vice President Mr. Raju B. Ketkale has said, the company is delighted to receive this award as a recognition for the brand in its efforts towards designing and developing the best-in-class cars. He also said, such recognition will help Toyota Kirloskar Motor to export more and more products into the international trade space, which will help the Indian economy in return.

After receiving the award consecutively for the sixth time at national level, Toyota Kirloskar Motor promises to strengthen its philosophy, which is delivering superior Quality, Durability and Reliability (QDR). The company claims, this philosophy has made it possible to manufacture globally competitive automotive technologies and products. The company also reveals, its export stands at 12.08% of total turnover for the brand in the country.
