Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the all-new facelifted Etios Liva in India lately alongside bigger sedan twin Etios. The car was first revealed in Brazil, and it launched in India after a few months. The car comes with a new front fascia, which makes it much more attractive and appealing than the previous model. Also the rear fascia, and the interior comes sporting revised appearance. So far, the car looks much sportier in its new guise. While the interior has been designed to deliver the occupants a premium feel. 2016 Toyota Etios Liva Engine and Specification
2016 Toyota Etios Liva comes with the same powertrain like previous model. The car gets both petrol and diesel engine options, while on the transmission front it comes with manual gearbox option only. The petrol engine powered Toyota Etios Liva comes with the tried and tested 1.2-litre engine which is paired with 5-speed manual transmission and churns out 80PS of peak power at 5,600RPM and 104NM of peak torque at 3,100RPM. This engine is claimed to deliver 18.16kmpl of fuel economy.
The diesel variant on the other hand is powered by the same 1.4-litre CRDI engine under the hood, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine kicks out 68PS of peak power at 3,800RPM and 170NM of peak torque in between 1,800RPM to 2,400RPM. The Japanese auto manufacturer toyed with the idea of an AMT, but later dropped the idea. The engine delivers an impressive 23.59kmpl of fuel economy.
The company also claims that, the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) level in the 2016 Toyota Etios Liva hatchback comes improved than before. Also the clutch system has been improved as well, and it comes more responsive and swifter.

The 2016 Toyota Etios Liva has received the same changes at the front fascia like its sedan sibling Toyota Etios. In fact, the front fascia is the biggest change the car has received. It comes featuring a sporty look compared to the previous model. The car gets a V shaped radiator grille with black inserts, while the front bumper too comes revised.
The fog lamp enclosures, air intake dons black inserts; which surely enhance the appeal of the car. While the sedan Toyota Liva dons chrome inserts at the front grille and the fog lamp enclosures, the hatchback comes sans any chrome element at the grile, the fog lamp enclosures get the chrome though. The round shaped fog lamps sit neatly at both sides of the front bumper. The hood comes with sharp creases running toward the nose section giving it a sculpted look.
The side profile is largely unchanged, but the alloy wheels don new design, which looks very sporty and aggressive indeed. Apart from that, the ORVMs come sporting side turn indicators, and the sharp character lines are visible as well. Also the blackened glass area, roof spoiler, large taillights, chrome bar sitting between the two taillights and below the rear windshield enhance the appeal. The rear bumper too comes redesigned.
So far, the entire car comes donning a sporty look, which was not present in the previous model. Dimensionally, the car measures 3,884mm in length, 1,695mm in width, 1,510mm in height, and 2,460 mm of wheelbase. It sports a ground clearance of 170 mm, which enables the car to easily take on the potholes and a little bit of rough road condition. The car also offers 251-litres of boot space, which makes decent room for luggage at the rear.
The car comes in seven different colour options, which are – Vermilion Red, Ultramarine Blue, Classic grey, Silver mica Metalic, Harmoney Biege, Celestial Black and White.

The 2016 Toyota Etios Liva comes with a revised interior as well like the exterior. It has become more upmarket and energetic with the tweaks inside the cabin. The car gets not only new features, but also offers best in class space, as the company claims. It gets a three spoke tilt adjustable electric steering wheel, while the instrument cluster is certainly the most attractive feature inside.
The instrument cluster sits at the centre top of the dashboard and it comes featuring an Optitron combimeter with illumination control. This feature enhances the appeal of the car and makes the cabin sporty looking. Apart from this the dual tone dashboard features an audio system.
