The passenger vehicle sales of Tata Motors were going down until the introduction of new generation models. The sales started to pickup but the big change happened with the launch of Tiago. The hatchback was developed from scratch didn’t share any resemblance with old Tata products. The design of Tiago was refreshing and the company has improved quality considerably over the previous models. Tata Motors also introduced brand new diesel and petrol engines with Tiago.

Tata Nexon Reaches 25,000th Production Milestone In IndiaThe Tiago was also packed with lots of new features and it was spacious also. Tata Motors priced the Tiago really well and customer perception towards the company started to change. This confidence helped the company to develop better products for future. Then the company introduced Hexa which is a premium product and priced it again well.

Tata Motors introduced Tigor which is the sedan model of Tiago was again stand out from the competition for its design. The final product from the company was Nexon compact SUV which was introduced last year. The production model of Nexon looks similar to the concept model and last month they introduced AMT version also.

Tata Motors records 84% sales surge in March 2017All these new products helped the company to climb back up ladder to fourth position in the Indian Automotive Industry. Last month, Tata Motors sold 17,489 units compared to 10,855 units same month last year and the company registered 61 percent growth. The biggest mover for Tata Motors is in UV segment which posted 463 percent growth last month.

The company will continue the growth moving forward with Impact Design 2.0 theme which will debut with production version of H5X concept revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo. The H5X is expected to make its market launch in November and the company will launch a new premium hatchback in 2019 to take on Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
