
Royal Enfield’s electric motorcycle brand Flying Flea has entered Hyderabad with four sales and service outlets for its FF.C6. The Telangana capital becomes the brand’s second Indian market after Bengaluru where customers have collectively covered more than 1 lakh km on the electric motorcycle. The Hyderabad network comprises one company operated store and three partner outlets.
The company store on Erragadda Main Road serves as the central facility for specialised technical support. The three other outlets are Taurus Motors in Vanasthalipuram, Bolt Motorcycles LLP in Hi-Tech City and SVR Motors in Kondapur. Flying Flea has established a hub-and-spoke service arrangement in Hyderabad where the partner outlets handle routine maintenance and the Erragadda facility undertakes specialised technical work.
The FF.C6 comes equipped with a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and offers a claimed IDC range of 154 km on a single charge. The permanent magnet synchronous electric motor kicks out 15.4 kW and 60 Nm of torque. A two-stage belt drive transfers power to the rear wheel. The motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 115 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 3.7 seconds. The onboard charger supports a 20 to 80 per cent charge in around 65 minutes through a standard 16A socket.

The first electric motorcycle from RE features a 3.5-inch circular TFT touchscreen with Google Maps navigation, phone-as-key functionality and a wireless phone charger. The electronic safety package composes lean-angle sensitive traction control and a dual-channel ABS system. Riders can adjust ABS sensitivity and deactivate the rear wheel ABS based to their requirements. The connected technology suite also incorporates geofencing, theft-control functions and an SOS feature.
The FF.C6 features a forged aluminium exoskeleton chassis and a magnesium alloy battery casing. The front suspension incorporates a distinctive girder-type arrangement while a monoshock handles duties at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch wheels at both ends and gets a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc. The kerb weight stands at 124 kg and the seat height measures 823 mm.

The electric motorcycle also offers 207 mm of ground clearance. The Flying Flea FF.C6 is priced at Rs. 2.79 lakh (average, ex-showroom) and the Battery-as-a-Service option reduces the initial price to Rs. 1.99 lakh. The C6 is available in three colours namely Storm Black, Flea Green and Parachute White. Flying Flea also provides 24×7 roadside assistance with every FF.C6.
The Hyderabad entry comes after Flying Flea established its first Indian retail network in Bengaluru and subsequently added more outlets in the Karnataka capital. The brand has also introduced the FF.C6 in Europe and the UK. Its international retail network currently comprises stores in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Rome and London.
