Royal Enfield has announced that it has achieved its highest ever monthly sales in September 2026 with 1,33,958 motorcycles sold. The total increased 8 per cent from 1,24,328 units in September 2025. Its domestic sales reached 1,21,326 units – up 7 per cent on a YoY basis and exports climbed 17 per cent to 12,632 units.

The Chennai-based company also closed the first six months of FY2027 with 7,09,096 motorcycles sold – an increase of 20 per cent from 5,91,903 units during the same period of FY2026. The local volumes reached 6,42,021 units and rose 23 per cent from 5,21,482 units. Meanwhile, exports stood at 67,075 units – down 5 per cent from 70,421 units.

The September sales record came in the same month as the Himalayan 440 launch. Royal Enfield introduced the motorcycle at the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp in Ladakh with a 443 cc long-stroke engine, 6-speed gearbox and mechanical revisions. The initial response exceeded company projections and the Himalayan 440 is now fully booked for six months.

Sales September 2026 September 2025 YoY Growth
Domestic 1,21,326 1,13,573 7%
Exports 12,632 10,755 17%
Total 1,33,958 1,24,328 8%

New bookings have been paused until additional production capacity becomes available. Royal Enfield also introduced the Classic 350 Signature White last month. The top-end variant gets premium brown touring seats, an assist and slipper clutch, adjustable clutch and brake levers, USB Type-C fast charging and the Tripper Pod as standard.

It sits alongside the Emerald Green Edition near the top of the Classic 350’s range. In the same month, the brand’s international activity included the European and UK launch of the Flying Flea C6. Royal Enfield’s electric motorcycle brand entered Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin and London with deliveries scheduled to start by October 2026.

The company has established Flying Flea stores and dedicated service support across those five cities. Royal Enfield also retained the top position in the two-wheeler OEM category of the FADA Dealer Satisfaction Survey 2026 for the second consecutive year with 878 index points. One Ride 2026 separately drew more than 1,50,000 riders across 60 countries through over 1,600 rides with the programme linked to snow leopard conservation across the Himalayas.

The sales data shows a much faster rise in Royal Enfield’s domestic business than its overseas volume during FY2027 so far. Domestic sales added 1,20,539 motorcycles over the first six months compared with the same period last year – even as exports fell by 3,346 units. The numbers left the company with an overall gain of 1,17,193 motorcycles and a 20 per cent increase in total year-to-date volume.
