Meet The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Turned Gorgeously Into a Café Racer

The custom shop replaced the stock telescopic front suspension with beefier upside down forks and they are finished in black colour

Rajputana Custom is one of the famous custom bike shops in the country. They are famous for their innovative design and class leading perfection which only very few in the country can replicate. The latest project of Rajputana Custom is RE 500 Café Racer based on the Royal Enfield Classic 500.

RE 500 Café Racer gets an all new headlamp, which doesn’t have any fancy stuff like LEDs as it come with a halogen bulb for the headlamp. The custom shop replaced the stock telescopic front suspension with beefier upside down forks and they are finished in black colour. Rajaputana Customs has given clip on handle bars to give a modern touch.

RE-500-Cafe-Racer-by-Rajputana-Customs-2But the custom shop hasn’t given new age digital instrument cluster instead the RE 500 Café Racer get a single pod analog meter console which get speedometer and odometer. The fuel tank is again a custom unit with a completely new design theme which goes well with the overall Café Racer theme of the bike.

The RE 500 Café Racer gets a single seat and the length gives ample room for the rider. At the rear, they have given a small fender and the tail lamp is a small LED unit which is placed near the rear suspension. Rajputana Custom has given a new swing arm which is unique to this bike as they have mono suspension at the rear.

RE-500-Cafe-Racer-by-Rajputana-Customs-4The custom shop has given the drive on the right side instead of left side which is completely different from the stock bike. The engine is expected to be carried over from stock bike as it is the same 499 cc single cylinder engine producing 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 5 speed gearbox.

They have also given a custom air-filter which is uniquely positioned behind the engine. RE 500 café Racer comes with a custom exhaust which is heat wrapped to protect the rider. Rajputana Custom took three months to complete this project and the cost is Rs. 5.75 lakhs which is excluding the price of donor bike.
