Range Rover Evoque Landmark celebrates six years of Evoque production in Halewood; incorporates several cosmetic updates including grey accents at various body parts

British luxury SUV manufacturer Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Evoque Landmark special edition at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in United Kingdom on 10th May, 2017. It has now been introduced in India for a price of Rs. 50.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker introduced this vehicle to celebrate its luxury compact Evoque’s six years of production in Halewood.

Making global debut in 2011, the Evoque entered India in the same year and has been one of the influential products from the brand. The Landmark Edition, as the name suggests, also marked the 6,00,000th unit of the Evoque rolling out from the Halewood plant. Following its arrival in UK, the special edition Evoque has been made available in other markets as well before entering India.

The special edition Range Rover Evoque SUV has been made available in three different exterior colour options, which are Moraine Blue, Yulong White and Corris Grey. This SUV comes with various cosmetic updates over the standard model. The front grille, hood, fender vents, panoramic sunroof and the tailgate lettering sports dark grey accent. It runs on 18-inch alloy wheels that are also painted in dark grey.

Apart from these updates, the overall silhouette of the luxury compact SUV remains unchanged. Inside the cabin too, changes have been introduced including contrasting light lunar stitching on steering, seats and upholstery. It also comes with ebony leather seats and a perforated mid section. The Landmark Edition is also offered with optional features like 10-inch InControl Touch Pro system with 4G Wi-Fi hotspot and Spotify.

JLR’s much acclaimed Remote app is also available with this SUV, which lets the owner to perform several activities remotely from his smartphone. Including the Landmark Edition, the Range Rover Evoque is available in seven different trims in India, priced between Rs. 44.44 lakh for the base Pure trim and it goes all the way up to Rs. 59.75 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the HSE Dynamic variant.

The regular Land Rover Evoque is available in both petrol and diesel engine options, with petrol engine being a 2.0-litre unit and the diesel motor having same displacement. Other important features are dark satin brushed aluminium centre console trim finishers, keyless entry and a powered gesture tailgate.

Range-Rover-Evoque-Landmark-3.jpgWith no mechanical changes, the Landmark Edition is offered only in the 2.0-litre ingenium diesel spec. The engine is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 177 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 430 Nm of peak torque delivered at 1,750 rpm. It is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels and has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 15.60 kmpl.
