The special Volvo S60 and V60 World Champion Editions come celebrating Polestar Cyan Racing’s WTCC win
Polestar has launched the special Volvo S60 and V60 World Champion Edition models to commemorate Polestar Cyan Racing’s win of FIA World Touring Car Championship this year. The racing team used a Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 race car for the championship. Surely these cars come as limited edition models, but the number of production is yet to be revealed.
The complete S60 and V60 ranges will be available with this special World Champion Edition treatment. This means, the D4, D5, T5 and T6 models of the Volvo S60 and Volvo V60 models will be available in this special edition guise. These special edition models stand apart from their respective regular versions thanks to several distinctive elements.

These special edition Volvo models get 19-inch light alloy wheels wrapped with performance tyre. Also, they receive a free flow stainless steel exhaust system and sports air filter as part of the Performance Parts program. Apart from that, they come with upgraded dampers and springs as well. Alongside these upgrades, the powertrain of these cars too come tuned to perform much better.
Volvo’s erstwhile performance tuning sub-brand Polestar has optimized the powertrain of these special edition S60 and V60 to churn out 10 hp of extra power output and 50 Nm of extra torque output as well. The gear shifting in both these models has become improved alongside smoother throttle response.

While these wear the performance enhancing upgrades, in terms of design too these special edition models received update. Both the special edition S60 and V60 get distinctive Polestar branding at exterior and inside the cabin as well. They receive a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler that add zing to the models. Inside the cabin, they sport distinctive materials on seat and upholstery and special badge too.
These cars will be available from all the Polestar retailers across the world. As the company says, it took the opportunity to make these special models to celebrate the remarkable achievement of securing its maiden world championship.
