New Nissan Micra, Terrano and Sunny will come equipped with advanced connected car technologies

Nissan is trying to make its cars attractive by introducing new interesting technologies. Upcoming Nissan Micra hatchback, Terrano SUV and Sunny sedan will sport these technologies that will include vehicle diagnostics, service reminders and GPS tracking of the vehicle. With this technology, owners will be able to connect to the cars via app and check various data and information.

With the new technology in place, owners of the Nissan’s connected cars will be able to check the condition of vehicle’s system. They will also be able to keep track of the service reminder and take the vehicle for servicing in proper time. Apart from that, the technology will show the exact location of the vehicle to the owner through the app. With this technology in place, not only owners, but the manufacturer will be benefitted as well as it will help the service providers to have access to various data regarding the vehicle’s system.

Details about the Nissan’s connected car technology are still scarce, but it could be similar as Honda’s Connect system. The new technology will be introduced as a part of the Japanese automaker’s global Intelligent Mobility strategy. Despite being present in the domestic market for quite some time, Nissan couldn’t fetch desires success like its French ally Renault.

Now, in order to boost the sales figure, Nissan is taking various strategies for the Indian market. One of them is introducing new exciting technologies to its cars. Apart from that, it is also planning to launch couple of models as well. All-new Nissan Micra is ready to be rolled out on 2nd June, while X-Trail hybrid SUV is expected to be launched sometime later this year.

Nissan is also aiming to enter the electric vehicle market of the country with the Leaf EV. It could be launched in the country sometime next year. Expect the Nissan Leaf to be displayed at the upcoming 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo as well.
