Maruti Suzuki’s biggest highlight at the 2018 Auto Expo has been the Concept Future S but there is something else that gained more attraction. While the prices of the new generation Swift were announced, the leading automaker in the country could not keep itself away from showing the iCreate platform based modifications on the hatchback.

The iCreate class of personalised mods is available for the Vitara Brezza and Ignis already and now the all-new Swift is the latest addition to the list. The iCreate has been responsible for making the Brezza and Ignis unique with different accessories put together according to the desires of the customers.

2018 maruti swift review india-13Maruti Suzuki is trying to achieve similar success with the Swift and thus its iCreate specialisation at the motoring show gives us a glimpse of what to expect when the hatchback reaches customers. The in-house developed programme has been applied on the range-topping Z Plus variant of the Swift.

It comprises of a sporty body kit and funky graphics enhancing the new Swift’s overall stance. The unique Lucent Orange paint scheme which is a new addition to the regular Swift range has slanting black graphic lines on the right portion of the bonnet running all the way from the roof.

2018 maruti swift review india-14The quirky white touches have led to distinguishable low lip spoiler and Outside Rear View Mirrors. Keeping in line with the white theme is the moulding on the sides as well as the integrated roof-mounted rear spoiler.

There is also another iteration displayed with sporty body kit composing of front lip spoiler, faux diffuser and skirts on both sides rendering an aggressive vibe to the entire package. The iCreate platform gives more options to customers as the interior can be modified with a list of accessories and design elements.

It does not get in the way of any mechanical changes though as the new Swift continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre K series petrol engine and the tried-and-tested 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift range begins from Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and it goes up to Rs. 7.96 lakh for the top-spec trim.
