The modified Toyota Fortuner here sports new grille, custom headlamp and LED DRL, modified bumper and a private jet inspired cabin
SUV and crossover have gained phenomenal success and popularity around the world in recent few years. Indian buyers too have shown their love for the bold and muscular SUVs and crossovers. While some customers love their vehicle in stock form, some enthusiasts love to give the vehicle a distinctive look with modification at exterior and inside the cabin. Here, we have a Toyota Fortuner customised with inspiration from Jeep Renegade.
The modification has been done by Kolhapur based AYAS Customs, which generally specialises in motorcycle customisation. The complete customisation package costs Rs. 13.5 lakh, while the stock Toyota Fortuner is priced between Rs. 26.66 lakh and Rs. 31.86 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The custom Fortuner receives a Jeep renegade like front fascia incorporating vertically slated aggressive radiator grille flanked with round shaped headlamps and horizontally positioned LED daytime running lights. Front bumper too sports a revised look and appears chunkier than the standard Fortuner and it features fog lamps with chrome bezel and a skid plate as well. The indicator positioning is also inspired by the Renegade and the SUV sports three powerful lamps on the roof providing greater illumination.
The hood too appears modified and gets an air intake at the centre. Side profile and the rear of the SUV remain similar to the stock model revealing the true identity of the car. Interior has been completely redesigned and it appears inspired by a private jet cabin with plush luxury on offer. It gets first-class airline seats, glossy wood trim, a large LED TV at the centre along with a touchscreen infotainment system below.

The dual-tone seats get premium leather treatment along with individual controls, a compact refrigerator, mood lighting and foldable table for laptops. All these facilities are available for the rear occupants giving them a luxurious feel. So far, it looks like a compact Fortuner Limo with a new front fascia.
The customised Toyota Fortuner is an old model and it retains the stock engine without any update. The old Fortuner was available with a 2.5-litre D-4D turbocharged diesel engine capable of churning out 144 PS of peak power at 3,400 rpm and 343 Nm of peak torque between 1,600 rpm and 2,800 rpm. There was a 3.0-litre 4-cyl D-4D engine capable of pumping out 171 PS of peak power at 3,600 rpm and 343 Nm of peak torque between 1,400 rpm and 3,400 rpm.
