London anti-terror police gets BMW F800 GS which comes powered by a 798 cc engine making 85 horsepower and 83 Nm of torque

Anti terror police squad in London is all set to get BMW F800 GS motorcycles. The motorcycles will be given to armed officers to tackle the terrorist attacks in the British capital. The British police already use motorcycles in to move through heavy traffic. But they are mostly unarmed. But as the threats of terrorist attacks are rising in the British capital, the authority has decided to give the police force a machine to move faster.

The BMW F800 GS will give the officers ability to move through heavy traffic in case of any troublesome situation. These motorcycles can also run through the curbs. While the riders will be armed, the pillion riders will also get automatic rifles to tackle the terrorists.

In recent times after several terrorist attacks in Paris, Belgium; London police thinks the biggest problem in taking swift action can be the traffic. Therefore the need of a fast moving motorcycle comes in the scenario. It will be given to the two wheel rapid response squad. The BMW F800 GS can take on the bumps very easily. It can run swiftly on the smooth roads as well as on the pavements also.

BMW Motorrad’s F800 GS motorcycle for the London anti terror police force will get a Dark Grey paint job. It gets power from a 798 cc liquid cooled twin cylinder fuel injected engine. The engine is mated to a 6 speed transmission and churns out 85 hp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 83 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm.

It comes with BMW Motorrad ABS along with Safety 360° package. Also the motorcycle features optional Automatic Stability Control or (ASC) and Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA).

London Police is forming a squad of 600 armed officers, who will be able to deal the situations anytime. later on, the authorities also plan to introduce such squads throughout England and Wales. They have plan to hire and train 1,500 extra armed police officers alongside the existing force.
