Lamborghini registered record sales for seventh consecutive year; maximum number of units sold in USA

Lamborghini has registered record sales for seventh year in a row. The Italian supercar manufacturer has sold 3,815 units in 2017 that marked an impressive 10% sales growth compared to 2016, when it posted 3,457 units. What’s more interesting is that the brand has been able to increase the retail figure nearly three times higher than the number it recorded back in 2010.

Interestingly, Lamborghini is not the only one, several other supercar manufacturers across the world have also seen high demand in recent years. In 2017, British brand McLaren posted a very good sales result, while another British marquee Aston Martin reached a nine year high. Clearly, demands for the high end supercars are increasing pretty fast bringing good fortune for the exotic brands.

Speaking about Lamborghini, the automaker sold most numbers of cars in USA. The company sold 1,095 units there in 2017, followed by Japan (411), UK (353), Germany (303), China (265) and Canada (211). The company retailed 164 units in the Middle Eastern markets. Lamborghini Huracan contributed most to the total sales number as it sold 2,642 units, while the Aventador too retailed 1,173 units.

In 2017, Lamborghini Huracan has seen sales growth of 12% compared to previous year, while the Aventador recorded 6% growth. So far, Lamborghini has received pretty good sales response from every corner around the world. The North American region saw 4% growth, while sales in Asia Pacific grew by 9%. Europe, Middle East along with African region posted 18% growth.

While models like Huracan and Aventador have helped the brand in growing significantly in 2017, Lamborghini is expected to post brighter picture in 2018 thanks to the Urus. This luxury high performance SUV has been developed keeping the profitability in focus.

The Lamborghini Urus has been launched in Indian market at a whopping price tag of Rs. 3 crore. This super SUV is powered a twin-turbo V8 engine that is capable of churning out 641 hp of peak power. The car is capable of accelerating to 10 kmph from standstill position in just 3.6 seconds.
