KTM Duke 390 gets a new white paint scheme; comes without any additional cost

KTM has added a new white paint scheme to the palette for the Duke 390. Winner of the 2017 IMOTY award is now available with two different colour options, KTM’s signature Orange paint option and the newly introduced White colour. What’s more interesting, the new colour variant comes available at no extra price. KTM Duke 390 is presently priced in India at Rs. 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

KTM has already earned immense popularity in Indian motorcycle market with its locally produced high performance premium models that come relatively affordable than several other premium bikes. The updated Duke 390 that was launched here last year has seen pretty good response. Now, with the new colour variant launched, the Austrian bike manufacturer hopes to see a significant sales surge.

Booking for the high performance bike have already commenced across the country in more than 400 exclusive KTM dealerships. Speaking about the design of the bike, it comes with a very aggressive and sculpted appearance that grabs attention at the very first glimpse.

This bike takes design inspiration from bigger sibling Super Duke 1290. Based on a trellis frame, the new KTM Duke 390 gets a vertically spltited LED headlamp, a fully digital instrument cluster with TFT display. There is a muscular and chunky fuel tank. Thanks to its ergonomic design and perfectly positioned seat, the bike offers great comfortable riding experience. The taillight too comes wearing all LED units.

Power source for the KTM Duke 390 is a 373.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of churning out 42.90 bhp of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.

For braking duty, it uses a 320 mm front disc bake and a 230 mm rear disc brake that come with a dual channel ABS sourced from Bosch. For suspension duty, the bike sports WP USD front forks and WP monoshock absorber at back.
