The September performance also represents a 10.2% increase over August 2026, when Kia dispatched 29,042 units.
This made Kia the only manufacturer among India’s top five carmakers to record both month-on-month and year-on-year growth during September. Kia’s Q3 2026 sales stood at 89,259 units, compared with 64,443 units during the same quarter last year. For the first nine months of 2026, cumulative sales reached 2,53,008 units, up 22.5% from 2,06,582 units during the corresponding period in 2025.
The Seltos and Sonet continue to form the backbone of Kia India’s sales. According to the company, the Seltos has averaged more than 10,000 units per month since its launch in January, while the Sonet continues to perform strongly in the sub-compact SUV segment.

The broader portfolio is also becoming increasingly diverse. The Carens, Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV give Kia a presence across different body styles and powertrains, while the newly introduced Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG add factory-fitted CNG options to the range. Kia says the Syros EV is gaining demand momentum, adding another electric option to its Indian portfolio.
The company is also looking to cover more powertrain categories, with its current range spanning petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric powertrains. The newly launched Sorento has also received an encouraging response. In India, the SUV is offered with diesel and hybrid powertrain options, giving Kia another entry in the premium SUV space while strengthening its hybrid portfolio.
