Jeep’s portfolio here will have smaller and more affordable India-focused models like the Renegade
Jeep India is aiming to increase its market share by launching more affordable models in the country. By the end of this decade, the American auto major plans to launch three models expanding the portfolio to 5 models. In order to lure more customers in the SUV loving market, Jeep will roll out smaller and cheaper SUVs compared to its first two models here, the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee.
The first one among these three upcoming SUVs is going to be the Jeep Compass that is ready to be launched here on 31st July 2017. Apart from that, Jeep Renegade will be launched here as well. Test mules of this small SUV from the iconic brand have been already spotted in the country several times.

Jeep entered the domestic market its two high end premium SUVs Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. But in a highly competitive market where every other automaker is offering efficient SUVs at affordable pricing, these two models could not fetch desired sales result.
Now, the auto manufacturer has changed its strategy and it wants to enter every categories of the market. Jeep Compass is going to be a very important model for the brand in order to strengthen its position here. The company has already fetched an impressive number of bookings for this model.

Expect the Jeep Compass to be priced very competitively between Rs. 17 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh. Considering the rising demands for the SUVs with attractive design, premium features and of course powerful efficient powertrains, this SUV is expected to be successful in the country. It will carry a 1.4-litre petrol engine and there will be a 2.0-litre diesel engine as well. Transmission options will include a seven-speed ZF automatic gearbox. So far, Jeep India is leaving no stones unturned in order to increase its strength in the country.
