India-bound Hyundai Kona gets five star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash test. The sub-compact SUV comes very impressive with highest level of safety on offer in all the segments that include adult and child occupant safety, pedestrian protection and safety assist. This car is expected be launched in the domestic market soon.

In the Euro NCAP crash test, Hyundai Kona showed a stable passenger compartment during the frontal offset test. The test result showed good amount of protection for the knees and femurs of the front occupants. The rear occupants too get impressive protection for all the critical body areas.

However, chest protection was adequate. During side barrier test, the SUV scored maximum points for safety offering good protection for all the body areas. During side pole impact, chest protection was adequate and other body areas too received good amount of protection.

In the rear end collision test, front seats and head restraints offered good amount of protection to the occupants. The rear seat occupant dummies too showed generous protection. The Hyundai Kona gets several advanced safety assist features that include autonomous emergency braking system. This technology comes combining a range of systems like collision avoidance, lane assist technologies. The optional safety pack for the Hyundai Kona makes the car much safer.
