The month of March 2023 saw Hyundai introducing the all-new Verna in India with a whole host of revisions inside and out. Taking design inspiration from the global Sonata and Elantra, the 2023 Verna derives power from a 1.5L four-cylinder NA petrol engine developing a maximum power output of 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque.
The 1.5L diesel engine is no more and a new 1.5L turbo GDI petrol engine has taken centre stage as it helps the brand to compete against the 1.5L turbo variants of the Slavia and Virtus. The interior is a thorough overhaul compared to the old model and it has larger proportions too enabling a more spacious cabin.
The packed features list comprises a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital console, six airbags as standard, sunroof, ADAS-based safety and assistive technologies, connected car features, and much more. It carries a starting price of Rs. 10.90 lakh and it goes all the way up to Rs. 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
