The new generation Hero Karizma XMR 210 will be powered by an all-new 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine
Hero MotoCorp will host the global premiere of the new generation Karizma XMR tomorrow in India. It marks the return of a highly popular nameplate after years of absence. The faired supersport was one of the first motorcycles to stir up the segment with sporty looks and good performance characteristics, and it is making a comeback to reclaim its lost glory.
The largest two-wheeler producer in the world has been teasing the new-gen Karizma for some time now revealing a number of details already. Here we have explained about ten key attributes you should know about the upcoming motorcycle.
1. Hero Karizma XMR Price:
A recent teaser video indicates that the Hero Karizma XMR could have a starting price of Rs. 2.05 lakh and it may go up to Rs. 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. Hero Karizma XMR Rivals:
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 will compete directly against the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Yamaha R15 V4 and KTM RC 200.
3. Hero Karizma XMR Engine:
As confirmed by the teasers, the faired motorcycle will be equipped with a 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a double overhead cam setup. The powertrain will be linked with a six-speed transmission.
4. Hero Karizma XMR Performance:
While the official technical specifications are not out, the Hero Karizma XMR could develop a maximum power output of around 25 bhp.
5. Hero Karizma XMR Top Speed & Mileage:
It will be claimed capable of reaching well over 140 kmph but in reality, it could go past the 150 kmph mark easily.
6. Hero Karizma XMR Design:
The design will be heavily inspired by the original Karizma but with modern styling cues giving a sharp appearance. It will be sportier than the Xtreme 200S 4V.
7. Hero Karizma XMR Features:
Some of the highlighting features will include a tall windscreen, LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, a muscular fuel tank, split seats and split grab rails, side-mounted exhaust system, alloy wheels and so on.
8. Hero Karizma XMR All LED lighting:
It will boast all LED lighting courtesy of the presence of dual LED headlamps, sleek LED turn indicators and LED tail lamp.
9. Hero Karizma XMR Suspension & Brakes:
The suspension duties will be handled by conventional telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension while the braking hardware comprises front and rear disc brakes assisted by a dual-channel ABS system.
10. Hero Karizma XMR Ergonomics:
The rider seat looks deep and wide and the clip-on handlebar is not low set. The footpegs are not too aggressive collectively meaning that the XMR will sit right in the middle of being a full-on tourer and a track machine.
