Four-door Mahindra e20 is likely to come equipped with a larger battery

Four-door Mahindra e2o has been spied testing on Indian road quite a few times, and the car is ready to launch next month in India. Ahead of its launch, a test mule of the upcoming electric hatchback has been spotted in Bangalore. Mahindra is one of the leading automaker in India, when it is about electric cars. Mahindra e2o is the first fully electric hatchback from an Indian car maker, and with four-door option, the upcoming car seems much more practical.

In terms of design, the upcoming four-door version of e20 gets two extra doors, and features a bit extra length because of the additional doors. Other than that, it bears similar silhouette like its two-door sibling. The upcoming model receives updates like new LED taillights and high mounted LED stop-lamp. The front and rear bumpers are revised, and the wheel covers are new as well.

Apart from the above changes, the four-door version of Mahindra e2o looks identical to the two-door version. The interior, however, gets some extra feature compared to the two-door version. It features a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment system and App-Connect as added features over the two-door e2o. Apart from these, the car features power-steering, music system, electric ORVMs, etc.

Power source for the car is certainly the most interesting part. Outgoing two-door Mahindra e2o electric hatchback takes power from a 48V lithium-ion battery pack combined with an electric motor. This electric motor, paired with an automatic transmission can kick out 26 PS of peak power at 3,750 rpm and 54 Nm of peak torque in between 0 and 3,400 rpm.

The outgoing two-door Mahindra e20 electric hatchback can run at a top speed of 81 kmph, and with a fully charged battery it can run up to 120km. The upcoming four-door variant could get a larger battery pack, which will enable the car with increased cruising range.
