Ford Mustang Facelift Spotted In India For The First Time, Launch In 2019

2019 Ford Mustang Facelift

2019 Ford Mustang facelift comes with a number of noticeable changes and is expected to make an impact in the Indian market

Ford Mustang is one of the most popular performance cars in the world and the pony car has done really well in India as the company priced it aggressively. The Mustang facelift model made its global debut last year and the updated model has been spotted in India for the first time, but the launch is expected to take place next year only.

The Mustang facelift model gets lots of changes like a new front bumper with an updated grille and tweaked headlamps. The hood has also got scoops to provide additional cooling for the V8 engine. The company has also given a new design for alloy wheels with a black finish and the rear gets a revised bumper.

The muscular car also gets the quad exhaust with the latest update and for the first time, the company is offering rear spoiler as an option. The interior doesn’t get any major design changes except for the new 12-inch digital instrument cluster replacing the analogue cluster, but we prefer the old one as it gives a character to the Mustang.

Like most of the new generation cluster, the 2019 Ford Mustang facelift can be configured to look the way you like. The touchscreen infotainment system now gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Ford has also improved the quality of materials with soft-touch plastics and the features list has been carried over from the current model.

The Mustang standard suspension setup has been tweaked with thicker anti-roll bars and revised dampers to improve handling. The company is now offering Magneride suspension as an option and the muscular car comes with new driving modes like ‘Good Neighbour’ for night-driving as everything will be toned down to reduce noise.

In India, Ford is offering only the 5.0 L V8 engine and it has been updated to produce 454 bhp of power and 569 Nm of torque. The power is sent to rear wheels via a new 10-speed automatic gearbox and the 0-100 kph can be achieved in under 4 sec. The electronic lock line feature will be available in the new model also and the price is expected to be increased slightly.
