Toyota owned Daihatsu is ready to unveil couple of concept models at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The Japanese brand will uncover a compact crossover concept DN Trec and a compact MPV concept DN Multisix at the Tokyo event later this month. The latter concept was already unveiled at the GIIAS 2017, where it garnered pretty much attention.

Speaking about the Daihatsu DN Trec concept, it carries a sporty and muscular stance. The crossover sports a look that reminds us about the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. So far it looks like a blend between a hatchback and a crossover. The company is yet to reveal the timeline when it will launch the five-seater production model based on this concept.

We can expect the production model derived from this concept to arrive in the market sometime next year. It would get a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine as power source, while there will be a 1.2-litre motor on offer as well combined with an electric motor. On the other hand, the DN Multisix will spawn out a six-seater MPV that gets energy from a 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with a CVT.

As Daihatsu displayed the DN Multisix concept at the GIIAS 2017, we learnt this model measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,720 mm in width, 1,695 mm in height and it has 2,620 mm of wheelbase along with 250 mm of ground clearance. Production model of this three-row compact MPV concept is expected to be launched in Indonesian market in near future.
