Citroen C3 Aircross derives power from a 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 PS maximum power and 190 Nm of peak torque

Citroen India unveiled the C3 Aircross a few months ago in the domestic market. The French brand currently sells the C3 compact hatchback, eC3 electric hatchback and C5 Aircross locally and the C3 Aircross will become the fourth addition to the portfolio and the most promising one too. The bookings for the Citroen C3 Aircross will commence by the middle of this month in India.

The prices of the Citroen C3 Aircross will be announced sometime next month as the company targets high volumes during the festive season period. The C3 Aircross will be positioned above the C3 compact hatchback and both have a lot in common including the powertrain and platform. The midsize SUV sits on the same CMP architecture and is heavily localised.

With more than 90 per cent local content, the C3 Aircross is expected to be priced aggressively against the competition and is rolled out of PSA’s plant in Tamil Nadu. Right from the get-go, the SUV will be sold in five- and seven-seater layouts and the third row can be folded flat and completely removed for added convenience and practicality.

The Citroen C3 Aircross derives power from a 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 110 PS and 190 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain will be offered only with a six-speed manual transmission while an automatic transmission will likely join the lineup at a later date.

The features list will comprise a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, electronic stability program, hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, reversing camera, keyless entry, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, halogen headlamps and so on.
