BYD India has launched the Sealion 7 Festive Edition at Rs. 50.60 lakh (ex-showroom) as part of a new campaign. The special edition is limited to 150 units and is exclusively available in the Premium variant. The main change comes in the cabin which receives a dual-tone tan and black colour scheme. As you might expect, no changes have been made elsewhere.
The Sealion 7 Festive Edition features an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and a rear mounted electric motor which is good enough to develop 230 kW (308 hp) and 380 Nm of torque. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds and has a claimed driving range of 567 km under the NEDC testing cycle.
The electric SUV incorporates BYD’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology which integrates the battery pack into the vehicle’s structural architecture. The system contributes to body rigidity and battery packaging. The Sealion 7 also features torque adaption control which manages torque delivery according to traction conditions. Both technologies are part of the existing Premium model.

The equipment list comprises a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, quilted Nappa leather seats and a panoramic glass roof equipped with an electric sunshade. The SUV also gets a head-up display that projects driving information into the driver’s field of vision. The Festive Edition carries over these features alongside the new dual-tone cabin treatment.
The Sealion 7 comes equipped with 11 airbags and has secured a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. It measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height along with a 2,930 mm wheelbase. The cargo capacity stands at 500 litres at the back which can be expanded to 1,789 litres and the frunk can hold 58 litres.

The zero-emission crossover entered the Indian market in 2025 and has recorded more than 4,500 unit sales across the country. BYD has crossed 15,000 total retail sales locally and it currently offers Seal, Atto 3 and eMax 7 along with the Sealion 7. The Chinese manufacturer has been ranked 91st in the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list – its fifth consecutive appearance in the rankings.
