Bajaj Auto is getting ready to enter a motorcycle segment it has never properly contested before. The company’s new adventure motorcycle has been spotted testing several times in India and is now expected to make its debut towards the end of 2026 or early 2027. Recent reports suggest the bike could be positioned as an affordable dual-sport machine, putting it directly in the path of motorcycles such as the Hero Xpulse 210.
The biggest talking point is the engine. Multiple reports point towards a 249 cc air or oil-cooled single-cylinder motor, likely related to the engine used in the Pulsar N250. The Pulsar N250 currently develops 24.2 bhp and 21.5 Nm, although Bajaj is expected to retune the motor for the adventure bike, with stronger low- and mid-range performance being more important than outright top-end power.
The test bikes seen so far have a distinctly different appearance from Bajaj’s existing motorcycles. There is a tall front end, slim bodywork, beak-style front mudguard, upright handlebar and long single-piece seat. The exhaust is also mounted high, while spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres add to the adventure-bike theme.

The motorcycle is expected to use a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination. Suspension duties are likely to be handled by telescopic forks at the front and a linkage-type monoshock at the rear. These details suggest Bajaj is aiming for a bike that can handle broken roads and light trails rather than simply being a road-going motorcycle with adventure styling.
Despite its relatively simple mechanical package, the new Bajaj ADV does not appear to be short on technology. Spy shots show a full-colour TFT instrument cluster and multifunction switchgear. Turn-by-turn navigation is also expected, while features such as ride modes, switchable traction control and ABS functionality could be offered depending on the final variant. Bajaj has not confirmed the complete electronics package yet, so these features should be treated as expectations rather than final specifications.

There is also speculation around the motorcycle’s name. Bajaj has previously trademarked the Trekker name in India, leading to speculation that it could be used for this motorcycle. However, Bajaj has not officially confirmed the name yet. The motorcycle is expected to make its global debut around November-December 2026, with India either getting the bike around the same period or shortly afterwards. Some reports also suggest a price in the Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.8 lakh range, although Bajaj has not announced pricing.
