2024 Volkswagen Tiguan comes with a brand new design and a heavily updated interior; will be sold in multiple powertrains across the globe
The all-new Volkswagen Tiguan has been unveiled with a slew of revisions inside and out. It sits on the MQB Evo platform and is longer than the old model but all other dimensions remain the same. The third-generation Tiguan will be introduced in the international markets later this year and we can expect it to arrive in India in the near future.
The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan comes with a cleaner design profile with the front fascia comprising new HD matrix LED headlights, larger radiator grille openings, and a new bumper. Other highlights are a horizontal LED light strip connecting the new LED tail lamps, redesigned rear bumper, sculpted bootlid, newly designed alloy wheels, and so on.
The interior comes with a digital cockpit based on fourth-gen MIB4 modular infotainment matrix, a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with new UI, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, new ergoActive Plus seats with pneumatic four-way lumbar adjustment, pneumatic 10-chamber pressure massage function, a new HUD, a rotary controller with OLED display.
It controls various functions including ambient lighting, volume, drive modes, etc. The customers will also get IDA voice assistant, and some controls similar to that of VW ID. The German auto major will see the new Tiguan in multiple powertrain options as turbo diesel engines, turbo petrol engines, mild hybrid and PHEV technologies are available.
The 2024 VW Tiguan also gains updated Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension and the high-end version features dampers with two valves and Vehicle Dynamics Manager as standard. VW offers a range of driver assistive and safety systems such as lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and dynamic road sign display along with reverse parking system.
Features such as trailer assist and park assist pro with remote parking are available as an option as Volkswagen adheres to the needs of different sets of customers. The hybrid spec 2024 VW Tiguan has a claimed electric-only range of 100 km and DC fast charging capability is also available with the plug-in hybrid version.
