UM Motorcycles planning adventure tourer for the Indian market and it could launch next year; also coming up is the Renegade Classic
American motorcycle manufacturer UM Global made its debut in India during 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo. The company currently offers two products in the country – the UM Renegade Commando and UM Sports S. Now, the motorcycle brand is planning to introduce a new product having a 400 cc liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine.
The upcoming UM motorcycle is expected to be an adventure tourer and it will challenge the popular Royal Enfield motorcycles. But the UM model will have loads of modern technologies and safety measures installed compared to the RE models. It will be able to take on the rough terrains easily and provide the riders comfortable off-roading experience.

Further details about the UM Motorcycle 400 cc adventure tourer are yet to be disclosed officially. But, it will be equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels and ABS will be on offer as well. The motorcycle is expected to be manufactured at Lohia’s Kashipur plant in Uttarakhand. If everything goes well, then we might see the product launching during festive season this year and it will be displayed at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo.
The motorcycle will be the addition to the Renegade lineup. But before its arrival, UML is ready to launch the UM Renegade Classic with a 279 cc single-cylinder engine. This model was showcased at the Auto Expo, and booking for this cruiser will commence from next month, while delivery will begin from May.
