All-new 2017 Honda Activa i gets dual-tone paint scheme with attractive body graphics, BS-IV compliant engine and AHO feature

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has launched the Activa i in India at 47,913 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) with several cosmetic updates and an updated BS-IV emission norm compliant engine as well. The Honda Activa i is an entry level scooter positioned in the 110 cc segment from the widely popular and bestselling Activa range and it focuses the women riders of the country.

The all-new 2017 Honda Activa i is available in five different dual-tone paint schemes, which are Orchid Purple metallic, Lush Magenta, Neo Orange Metallic, Black and Imperial Red Metallic. Apart from that, the scooter receives new exciting sporty body graphics at the side panel. The overall silhouette remains same as the previous model. It comes with same large headlamp with Auto Headlamp On (AHO) technology introduced to it.

The front cowl gets vertically positioned sharp looking indicators. It offers generous amount of leg space at the footboard giving the rider comfortable experience. The new Honda Activa i comes with body coloured rear view mirrors. The seat has been designed to offer the rider and the passenger comfortable journey experience. There is a wide grab rail at the back and a compact taillight is there as well.

Power source for the Honda Activa i is 109.19 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with HET technology and it is now BS-IV emission norm compliant. Mated to a V-Matic gearbox, this engine is capable of churning out 8 bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.94 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The 103 kg weighing automatic scooter can run at a top speed of 83 kmph.

The scooter runs on 10-inch tubeless tryes with 90/100 specification. For braking duty, it gets 130 mm drum brakes at both ends combined with Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS). The scooter offers an 18-litre of underseat storage space, mobile charging socket. Its 165 mm of ground clearance ensures the scooter tackles the potholes of regular roads without any hassle.
