Renault Lodgy Stepway variant was first seen at an award ceremony in India, after global launch.

After successfully launching the Lodgy in India few months back just like the Renault Duster, Renault now has launched the much talked about variant of the MPV. The Renault Lodgy Stepway.

Launched in India at a premium of Rs. 60,000/- over the top-end RxZ variant. Lodgy Stepway variant comes with some more feature added to the list. However, mechanically there are no changes to the Lodgy Stepway. At the front the Lodgy Stepway gets a studded new grille and the Lodgy Stepway gets front and rear bumpers have different contours.

Below the bumpers you get silver skid plates and the Lodgy Stepway also gets black body cladding around the car. The doors also get the chrome treatment and the Lodgy Stepway also comes with ‘Lodgy’ sill plates on all four doors and finally the Stepway badging at the rear boot lid.

The alloys have been distinguished and now come in a new shade of anthracite. The Lodgy Stepway carries forward the features of the Top RxZ variant, such as MediaNAV infotainment system, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, fog lamp and reverse parking sensors.

The Lodgy Stepway is now offered in both 7-seater and 8-seater variants. The Lodgy is powered by a 1.5-litre DCi diesel engine and the Stepway variant will get only the higher tune which produces 110 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.98 km/l.

Lodgy one of the two products which will define success for Renault in India. Sure the Kwid is already created the rage and is bound to do good numbers. Renault wants to be on the premium side and hence will concentrate on premium products as well.

The products in the top-end of the range are excellent product which need a marketing push, right engines and stunning pricing tag to woo customers to the showrooms.
