Tesla announces three-day programme for India with exchange valuation, showroom finance and a Wall Connector included with every vehicle purchased

Tesla has announced its Switch and Save Carnival in India from October 23 to 25, 2026 as it has quoted an effective Model Y ownership cost of Rs. 19,990 per month after estimated fuel and maintenance savings. The programme is set to run for three days from 11 AM to 8 PM at Tesla centres across the country and requires a Rs. 6 lakh down payment.

The actual monthly payment starts at Rs. 39,990 under a seven-year step up EMI plan at an 8.5 per cent annual percentage rate. Tesla then subtracts an estimated Rs. 20,000 per month in fuel and maintenance savings against a comparable internal combustion vehicle to arrive at the advertised Rs. 19,990 effective monthly figure. Finance approval remains subject to the lender and the final payment can differ according to the terms sanctioned.

The American EV maker bases the Rs. 20,000 monthly saving estimate on Model Y electricity consumption of 14.3 kWh per 100 km and an electricity tariff of Rs. 7 per kWh. The comparison vehicle is calculated at 8 km per litre along with an assumed service expense of Rs. 2 per km. The company also points to the absence of engine oil changes, spark plugs and multi-speed transmission servicing alongside reduced brake pad wear through regenerative braking.

Customers visiting the event can compare the Model Y and six-seat Model Y L, seek an exchange valuation and arrange vehicle finance through Tesla’s preferred banking partners at the venue. A Tesla Wall Connector is included with every car purchased during the Carnival. The event is primarily structured around helping existing petrol or diesel car owners assess the financial difference between their present vehicle and a Model Y.

Tesla is also placing considerable emphasis on lower routine service requirements. The electric drivetrain eliminates several maintenance items found in petrol and diesel vehicles, and over-the-air software updates can introduce vehicle functions remotely without requiring a workshop visit. Those operating cost assumptions are central to Tesla’s Rs. 19,990 monthly calculation and sit separately from the actual loan repayment.

The program can be taken up from Tesla’s showroom locations in Noida, Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Tesla also has approved collision centres in Pune and Ahmedabad. Test drives are available for the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and the six-seat Model Y L through Tesla’s India website or toll-free customer number.
