Yamaha R125 MotoGP Edition comes with the same styling theme as new M1 race-spec MotoGP bike and it is finished in black and blue colour

Yamaha officially revealed the R125 with MotoGP livery last week as these special edition models are so popular among enthusiasts around the world. Every year the company introduces MotoGP livery for most of the R series models. The R125 MotoGP Edition comes with the same styling theme as the regular model but the only change is in graphics.

The company has given Monster logo at the front between the headlamps and on the side fairing as it gives a sporty look for the R125. The bike is finished in black and blue colour paint scheme, which is similar to the race-spec M1. Apart from the racing numbers, the R125 almost looks like a replica of the MotoGP machine.

The sales of R125 MotoGP edition is expected to commence in the coming weeks. Currently, the company don’t have any plans to introduce this motorcycle in the Indian market even though the R125 is already on sale in most of the Asian countries. But Yamaha might introduce this new MotoGP livery in the R15 Version 3.0.

Last year, Yamaha introduced the R15 Version 3.0 MotoGP edition in India and the model has been selling really well even though it is priced at a small premium over the regular model. The design theme of R125 took inspirations from the new R1 and it looks almost similar to the R15 as the only difference is in dimensions and engine.

The company has given dual-headlamps set up along with a new fairing while the rear gets LED tail lamps. The performance bike comes with split seat up in which the pillion seat is placed on the taller side while the handlebar is clip-on type and the rider seat is position low along with rear-set footpegs gives a committed riding position.

The instrument cluster is fully digital like the R15 and it is loaded with lots of info. The R125 is powered by 124.7 cc single cylinder engine producing 14.8 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 12.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the company has given golden finished upside down forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear.
