It is that time of the year again, as we are happy to announce the commencement of 2019 GaadiWaadi Reader’s Choice Awards with you being the judge to vote and elect the best the automobile industry had on offer over the past twelve months. We have created nine different categories after carefully selecting the contenders for awards like Car Of The Year, Bike Of The Year, Scooter Of The Year, UV Of The Year, Premium Car Of The Year, VFM Car Of The Year, and Design Of The Year.
Auto industry has witnessed several big launches this year and the UV segments are largely explored as well. Chief among which the Hyundai Santro made a comeback and the Swift hatchback received a brand new generation while Amaze and Ertiga adorned brand new version of their own. Mahindra introduced Marazzo and Alturas G4 as they brought a fresh breed of enthusiasm into the brand’s stable.

In the Car Of The Year category, you can vote for one of these: Mahindra Marazzo, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Santro, Honda Amaze, Toyota Yaris, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda CR-V and Mahindra Alturas G4. Over to the two-wheelers, the mainstream brands were nowhere to be silenced as they constantly worked on defining new segments and exploiting the existing ones.
Another main category called the Motorcycle Of The Year comprises of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 200R, Royal Enfield Twins, BMW G310GS, Yamaha R15 V3, Honda X-Blade and Kawasaki Ninja 400. It is a tough place to be, as finding a single best bike launched this year is very difficult. But, hey we leave it up to you and are interested to evaluate the results.
With scooterisation trend steadily increasing, there were many launches, especially in the 125 cc segment. It should boil down to one of these scooters for Scooter Of The Year honour: TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Burgman and Hero Destini. The 2019 UV Of The Year category features four vehicles that are also vying for the spotlight in the Car Of The Year – showcasing how big a deal they are as a whole.
It will surely be a tough battle between Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda CR-V, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Mahindra Marazzo. The Premium Car Of The Year has nominees such as Audi Q5, Volvo XC40, BMW X3, Mini Countryman, Lexus ES 300h, BMW 6 Series GT and Mercedes-Benz CLS. The luxury space has seen some interesting debuts this year and we cannot wait to see who comes on top.
The VFM Car Of The Year is accompanied by Design categories for both two- and four-wheelers, as we seek your attention to find out which are the best-lookers.
