The customer deliveries of the Volkswagen Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport will commence this month itself across India

Volkswagen India has today announced the launch of the black sport themed Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport under the newly introduced ‘Sport’ line grade in the domestic market. The Taigun GT Line (1.0l TSI engine) carries a price tag of Rs. 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Taigun GT Plus Sport costs Rs. 18.53 lakh (ex-showroom).

As an introductory offer, VW provides a complimentary 4-year Service Value Package (SVP) on the Taigun GT Plus Sport variants. A few weeks ago, the brand introduced the new GT Line and Sport Plus trims of the Taigun midsize SUV at the Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference 2024 alongside showcasing the all-electric ID.4. Both Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport feature a fresh, visually distinct identity.

The Volkswagen Taigun GT Line, equipped with a 1.0L TSI three-cylinder engine, offers both a 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual transmission. This variant is designed to make the popular GT badge more accessible while presenting customers with a sportier look and feel. On the exterior, the Taigun GT Line features a combination of blacked-out aesthetics and sporty accents including darkened LED headlamps with daytime running lights and they are complemented by 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the sporty theme continues with a black interior featuring unique GT Line touches. The centrepiece is a 25.65 cm touchscreen infotainment system while six airbags are offered as standard. The Taigun GT Line provides bespoke differentiation with up to 16 exterior and 13 interior features. The Taigun GT Plus Sport, meanwhile, uses a 1.5L TSI four-cylinder EVO engine, which produces 150 PS and 250 Nm. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission.

It offers customers 19 exterior and 15 interior features over the standard model. The Taigun GT Plus Sport with a 1.5L TSI EVO engine, is now available at a price of Rs. 18.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 6-speed Manual transmission and Rs. 19.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 7- speed DSG transmission. Deliveries of both the new variants will commence this month itself.
