TVS appears to be working on an updated version of the Jupiter 110 for India and it could get a host of revisions

TVS Motor Company is working to introduce the updated Jupiter 110 scooter in the Indian market, according to our sources. Currently, the upcoming scooter is in the testing phase in Maharashtra. The updated TVS Jupiter 110 is expected to be sportier than the current-gen model.

Starting with the design, the most significant update will likely be a new tail lamp, as per our sources. To enhance the visual appeal of the scooter, TVS might opt for an LED setup. Furthermore, the company could also introduce new colour options for the updated TVS Jupiter 110. In terms of hardware, the scooter is expected to remain unchanged. A front telescopic fork and a monoshock unit at the rear will handle suspension duties.

For braking, it will get drum brakes at the front and rear. The top-spec variant will likely receive a disc brake option. At its heart, the updated TVS Jupiter 110 will likely continue to power from the current 109.7cc air-cooled engine, churning out a peak power of 7.77 bhp and a max torque of 8.8 Nm. It is mated with a CVT automatic gearbox.

Some key features of the current Jupiter 110 scooter include a USB charging port at the front, a semi-digital instrument cluster (available on the ZX variant), and TVS SmartXonnect technology offering turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and voice navigation.

The current-gen TVS Jupiter 110 is due to some design changes, as it has remained largely unchanged. The scooter competes with the Honda Activa 6G in the Indian market. With an updated Jupiter 110, TVS might increase its market share in this fiercely competitive scooter segment.

Coming to the pricing, the current Jupiter 110 is available at a starting price of Rs 73,340 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Considering the design upgrades and new colour options, we expect the updated TVS Jupiter 110 scooter to be slightly more expensive than the current-gen model.
