2024 MG Astor gets a host of new features including ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay compatibility, etc
MG India has today announced the launch of the 2024 Astor with the inclusion of new features and technologies. It carries an attractive starting price of Rs. 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and has been made available in a total of five variants namely Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro with the updated i-Smart 2.0 tech.
The new feature additions include ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charger, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay compatibility, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and the updated i-Smart 2.0 with a more advanced user interface and more than 80 in-car connected features including JIO Voice Recognition system enabling voice commands for Weather, Cricket updates, Calculator, Clock, Date/Day information, Horoscope, Dictionary, News and knowledge.
In addition, the anti-theft feature, paired with digital key functionality enhances the security even without an internet connection. The user interface is complemented by widget customization on the home screen with multiple home pages and a unique birthday wish feature on the head unit for allowing date customization through the i-Smart mobile application.

The MG Astor is already packed with features such as a personal AI assistant and 14 Level 2 autonomous features powered by mid-range radars and a multi-purpose camera that can realise a series of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) features. The five-seater comes with 49 top-notch safety features and a premium interior with a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, etc.
As for the performance, the existing 1.5L NA petrol engine produces around 108 bhp and 144 Nm and a 1.3L turbo petrol engine kicks out 138 bhp and 220 Nm. The former is paired with a five-speed MT or a CVT while the latter is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission only.
